Charlie Wittmack Becomes Member of Hartung Schroeder

DES MOINES, IOWA –– Hartung Schroeder announced today that Charlie Wittmack has joined the firm as a Member to further develop the firm’s growing portfolio of regional and national clients. Wittmack brings a wealth of experience to the firm, having spent the past six years working in private practice as an attorney and business strategist in Charlotte, North Carolina, while serving clients from California to New York and in four international locations. Wittmack previously practiced as a litigation attorney with the Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines.

Hartung Schroeder is a boutique law firm located at 303 Locust Street, in Des Moines. In recent years, the firm has racked up more than $100 million in verdicts and settlements for its clients, including a $40 million class action award for Des Moines’ residents in Kragnes v. City of Des Moines.

“Our strategy as a firm is to continue to represent our litigation clients in the most critical civil cases in the region, while offering expanded resources and advice to our corporate clients,” said the firm’s co-founder, Brad Schroeder, who has been recognized as one of “America’s Top 100 Attorneys.” “Wittmack’s ambition and talent as a trial lawyer and business strategist makes him a key component of our plan.”

“We’re working hard to build the law firm of the future,” said J.D. Hartung, co-founder. “As we look to the future, we realize that litigation is growing increasingly complex as recoveries grow larger and larger. At the same time, we believe our corporate clients are looking to outside counsel, not as an expense, but as a source of legal and business strategies that will grow revenue, profitability, and scalability.”
